即興演奏家、チェロ奏者。1963年、大阪生まれ。様々な音楽活動を経て、1997年から即興演奏の活動を開始し、国内外の音楽家や舞踏家等と数多く共演する。従来のチェロ奏法にとらわれない、自由な演奏から生み出されるその音響は、繊細でありながら自在にして豊穣である。深く音響に聴き入る、独特な即興演奏を聴かせる。2009年、チェロとピアノのソロによる即興演奏で構成されたCD "fukashigi" を発表。音楽活動以外にも、本名である森重靖宗 morishige yasumune として、2010年5月に、初の写真作品集 "photographs" を powershovel books より出版。
mori-shige was born in 1963, Osaka, Japan. He plays improvised music with mainly cello, but also with other instruments, such as piano etc. After his musical activities as an alternative singer song writer playing guitar and eccentric piano, He started playing cello to perform improvised music since 1996. He learned playing cello by himself and have developed his unique sense of improvisation making sound and silence with acoustic instruments. Now he is having various performances with musicians, dancers, poets and etc. in Japan and sometimes in Europe. In 2009, he released a CD "fukashigi". In that, you can listen to his solo improvised performances played with cello and piano. He also takes photograph under his real name "Morishige Yasumune". His first photo book "photographs" was published in May 2010.
